How do I find and replace text on a page or in my whole course?

You can use the Find and Replace tool in Claro to locate text and replace it with new text. You can use this tool on a single course page or search all of the pages at once.

Find and Replace will perform a search on the following items:

Alt text:

  • Images
  • Shapes

Content of tables.

Content of text elements:

  • Body
  • Caption
  • Footer
  • Header
  • Question body
  • Question opening
  • Subtitle
  • Text
  • Title

To use find and replace from the Application Menu:

  1. Click the Application Menu.
  2. Click Current Course.
  3. Click Find and Replace.
  4. Select Current Page or Course from the Search within pulldown menu.
  5. Enter a word or words in the first box. Check Ignore Case if you want to find all matching text, whether capitalized or not.
  6. Click Find.
  7. Occurrences of the word or phrase are displayed. Select each one to see a preview of it in the course.
  8. Enter a word or words in the second box and click Replace to change the occurrence.
  9. Click Previous or Next to move back or ahead.

To use find and replace from the Home ribbon:

  1. On the Home tab, click Find in the Element section.
  2. Select Current Page or Course from the Search within pulldown menu.
  3. Enter a word or words in the first box. Check Ignore Case if you want to find all matching text, whether capitalized or not.
  4. Click Find.
  5. Occurrences of the word or phrase are displayed. Select each one to see a preview of it in the course.
  6. Enter a word or words in the second box and click Replace to change the occurrence.
  7. Click Previous or Next to move back or ahead.
