How do I view, export and resolve Reviewer Notes?

Notes reviewers make can be viewed by authors and once the issue is dealt with, the author can close the reviewer note and provide a description of the solution or response.

You can view and resolve reviewer notes from the Reviewer Notes worksheet or directly from the stage while you’re authoring. The Reviewer Notes page panel can be left open so that you can quickly resolve notes as you fix them on a page.

You can opt to send the Reviewer a notification of resolution as you resolve each note. Or you can send a status summary in a single email for a selection of notes to any user assigned to the course—this is a great way to provide an update to the reviewers, project manager, team members, or for assigning a selection of notes to be completed to specific authors. 

To view the entire Reviewer Notes worksheet for a course:

  1. Click the Review tab.
  2. Click Reviewer Notes.
  3. Filter the notes using the Status buttons and dropdown lists on the left.
  4. Click a note to select it and view its details.
    Note: You can click the View Page button to preview the page for which the note was created. Click anywhere on the worksheet outside of the page to close the preview.
    Note: Select Author Page if you would like to implement a change immediately. Remember you will need to checkout the Learning Object in order to edit the page.
  5. Click in the checkbox beside notes to select multiple notes to resolve at one time with the same details. 
  6. Select a Status, Priority, Type, and enter any Resolution details.
  7. If you want to inform the Reviewer of the resolution, select the Send Notification? checkbox. The Reviewer will receive a separate email for each note you select Send Notification.
  8. Click the Update.

To export a file containing all Reviewer Notes:

  1. Click the Application Menu.
  2. Click Export.
  3. Click Reviewer Notes in the Current Course section.
  4. Click the Export as text or the Export as Excel (csv file) button to save a file.

To send a summary of Reviewer Notes to another user:

  1. Click the Review tab.
  2. Click Reviewer Notes.
  3. Select the checkboxes for notes you want to send to another user.
  4. Click the Send Summary button.
  5. A Summary Status panel will open from which you can choose a user(s) (must be assigned to the course) to send an export of the selected notes.
  6. Default text will appear in the email Body field—you may edit the text as you see fit.
  7. Click Send.

To view Reviewer Notes from the Page panel while you work: 

  1. Click the View tab.
  2. Click the Reviewer Notes button.
  3. The bottom panel opens and all New/Incomplete notes are shown.
  4. Click the Resolve button to edit the Reviewer Note.
  5. The Edit Reviewer Note window opens. Select a Status, Priority, Type, and enter any resolution details. Note: If you'd prefer, you can just select the Status Complete and the note closes.
  6. Click the Update button once you’ve entered resolution details.
  7. You can leave the bottom panel open as you move through your course resolving notes.

To view Reviewer Notes from the Page Properties panel: 

  1. Double-click a course, Learning Object, or page to open the Properties panel on the right.
  2. Click the Notes tab.
  3. All New/Incomplete notes are shown.
  4. Click a note to select it and view details.
  5. Click the Resolve button to edit the Reviewer Note. Select a Status, Priority, Type, and enter any resolution details.
  6. Click the Update button once you’ve entered resolution details.
