Avatars having a virtual conversation

Here is the scenario that I need to create in Flow. The learner clicks an audio icon to launch an audio recording of two people having a conversation. Each is represented by an avatar on the screen. As the recording runs, the text of their conversation appears in text bubbles associated with their respective avatars. Is it possible to create a scenario to function like this?

There are a couple of steps for this in Flow (and these can also apply to Claro content as well).

Setting up a Speech Bubble on an Image

With images (like an avatar of a person) you can add content layers over top including speech bubbles.

To do this, select the image element then select the purple + button/icon. This opens the Add Elements on Top panel, and one of the choices there is a Speech Bubble. Once you add the speech bubble you can enter text into it. There are also different visual design options for the Speech Bubble available on the Options and Style tabs.

Timing to the Audio file

If you only want a single image for each avatar and wish to just change the speech bubbles timed to the audio, you can do that by selecting the audio file on the page then selecting Interact tab >> Actions >> Show >> Next. On the right-side panel choose the specific speech bubble then set the Timer to match the time of the audio file when you want that specific speech bubble to show. You'll also want to hide each speech bubble before the next speech bubble is shown.

If the avatar images will change as the conversation progresses (such as new poses), then you'll need to set up separate image elements with their own speech bubbles and show/hide these in timing with the audio file. In Flow, make sure that you have a bit of time between when an element hides and when the next one shows, so the first element is fully hidden (other wise both will be seeon on the page briefly at the same time.)

Hope this helps!

Excellent! This is exactly what we're looking for. The avatars won't change during the conversation so that part will be simplified. The rest sounds relatively straightforward. Thanks a lot.
