Capture keeps crashing

I'm trying out Capture on an iMac running OS X Monterey. I have tried using Capture on both Safari and Microsoft Edge. In both cases, it has crashed before I could finish recording.

Help?

Can you send in a ticket to our support team at: support@dominknow.com?  They will want your log file from Capture.

Here is where it can be found:

  • On Mac: Log files can be seen using the console application (in the Other/Utilities) under ~/Library/Logs/dominKnowCapture
  • On Windows: Log files can be found in C:\ProgramData\dominKnowCapture\Logs

They will be able to help you further diagnose the problem.

 

FYI on Mac, if you haven't done this, please do this too:

On Mac OS-X the first time dominKnow Capture is run after being installed it must be granted access to the accessibility features, event after an install. You have to Open System Preferences and give access to dominKnow Capture. This requires admin rights on the computer. After granting access to the accessibility features quit dominKnow Capture and restart. Event if the box beside dominKnow Capture is selected then deselect and reselect it.
