Checking out

What does it mean when you hover over a learning object in the Outline in the authoring tool and a popup message displays, "Not checked out"?

On the Learning Object level when you roll over and see the tooltip "Not Checked out" - that's actually a holdover/left over from past versions of the tool that should have been removed but looks like it wasn't.

Prior to dominKnow | ONE you could only check in/out at the Learning Object level, not at the individual page level. With dominKnow | ONE it changed to the new page-level commit process (which incorpated the previous check in/out as part of commiting). 

So, the short answer is it has no effect on the content/functionality, seems to just have been missed in the transition to the new Committ process. We've noted it with the support team.

Hello there, I need your insights and advice regarding Test-out option in Claro.   I need to test “test-out” as a strategy. I need to provide learners with a test. If they achieved the passing score, they are done. If they failed to pass the test they will be transferred to the course module followed by the test again.   How to do so using Claro?

Can I block clicking left panel in story view theme?

We are creating a course with a story view theme. As you know, clicking the menu icon brings up the left panel. We have found that we can complete the course by clicking on the learning object in the left panel even without reading the whole content. We want to prevent the learner from completing the course by just clicking the left panel without reading the entire content.  Is there any way to prevent the learner from clikcing the left panel?

Can you push updates to a baseline object out to other projects using it?

Can you push updates to a baseline object out to other projects using it?   I made some editorial updates to content in a project marked as a baseline.  One other project has been build from this baseline (duplicated).  How can I get those updates "pushed out" to the other project with out going in and manually making the same updates there? Assumptions I'm operating under:   any customizing in that object will be overwritten when baseline updates are pulled in. Thanks! Amy

Here is a feedback by one of our reviewers -  1.As with other training materials, we feel a printed set would benefit the end users, so they can easily review. - PRINT FEATURE 2. When we went in to dominKnow again, seemed we needed to start over again and not where we left off – just a bit cumbersome. - BOOKMARK FEATURE Request support on this.

How to best get out of a "try me"

Hi,  I'm wondering about a best way to end a "try me" simulation interaction. currently the last slide is an end and appears to pause , with text included there flashing for a few seconds and then disappearing. I'd like to have some kind of success messaging and accurately direct the user to either replay the simulation or navigate out of it and into other content within the LMS. Thanks for any advice! Josh

Where can I learn more about the object structure when using LOs? I am trying to create some baseline content ... can I have an LO at the project level? Or does the project need to be a course, have a module, and then an LO for me to move LO content to a new project (at the course level)?  Can I commit content per LO, or must it be per-page? What do the icons mean, such as Pr? Or is that determined by my local system administrator? I copied a graphic into a page. I thought it would magically ...

Resize window load doesn't seems to be working

Hi There,    New in Claro, still figuring out some cool features.    I am trying to publish my first eLearning course and I noticed that the content display is locked in both preview and publishing mode. It doesn't change or resize the content display when I resize the window or view it on the full screen. It only takes half of the screen.    I found "Resize window load" option in the "Publishing Profile settings". Not sure, if that's the correct option but it's checked. Still, ...

Hi,  I was wondering if there's a way to revert a DK build back to what it was on a specific date?  I.e. if I build a course on the 12th, and an Author comes in and changes it on the 14th, and breaks something. Is there any way I can revert it back to what it was on the 12th?  Thanks
