Custom variable with learning object data
1552 0 1Hello all,
For ease of use, I was looking for a system variable that will output a string of the learning objective description of a learning object that on a page under the current object. I was surprised that there wasn’t a system variable for this since this is data that can be assigned to the learning object.
Is there a way to get this or do I truly need to manually input data I already have in Dominknow? Is there a list of data that can be easily found to show my variable what to look for?

Good news is you don't to have this. It is called Current Object Description. you can use that variable to display the value of the description.
When you add a variable click in the first line (it is a search dialogue) and type in Learning Object or Object and you will see it there.

Hey Paul, I’m not trying to get the learning object description, I’m trying to get the description of the learning objective that has been assigned to the learning object In Dominknow this is just “Objective” with ID’s and a name.
Ah thank you for the clarification. Yes, the learning objective you can assign to the learning object from the drop down. That description. That unfortunately is not a system variable you can get. For now you would need to manually add that text. You cna send a feature request in, along with more details on what you are attempting to do to support@dominknow.com.
