Customizing the Timeline Component in Flow

Hi, I was wondering if there was a way to customize the Timeline within Flow. I am trying to add a border colour to the boxes. If there isn't a feature already existing for that. Is it possible to add my own custom CSS to modify its appearance?

There isn't a way to set a border on the panels in the Timeline component, but I'll send this in as a feature request for our team to consider.

Currently the border of the panels is controlled so that good contrast can be ensured against background colours applied to the Element, Group, Row or Section containers. 

That might be a design option for you, to add a background color to the Timeline element to help the panels stand out more, even just a slight variation from the page background color.

To do that:

  • Select the Timeline element on the page.
  • Select the Container Inspector icon (the purple circle icon that has three sliders)
  • On the panel that opens, under the Timeline options select the background fill color icon (if you mouse over and pause, the tooltip will say "Pick a Fill") and choose a color.

Timeline timing

Once in a project I would like to extend my Timeline, let's say to 55 seconds. It seems like the only way to do this is to drag the blue line BUT it only lets me do it in like 3 secrond increments thereby making this process long and frustrating.  Is there a better way?

I was wondering if it was possible to add a video file into a Timeline panel. I noticed that there was only the option for embedded videos. Is that the only option?

Audio timeline missing

Adding narrations in the Flip card

New in Claro! The goal is to narrate when someone flip the card.  I have added the flip card on my slide but I am not able to add narration in it.  Can someone give the instructions on how to add triggers in the flip card? I would highly appreciate that.    Regards, MH

Remove "Change At" settings

I set some elements to change at a certain breakpoint using the Change At feature in the top right corner of the Flow screen.  How do I REMOVE them from the elements??  We're teaching a new set of Authors soon and I know this question will come up. I don't have an answer. Thanks!!

How do I hide a "next" button at the bottom of a Flow page, but have it show once the page is completed?

Good morning! I've already created an action for the player controls to have the "next" button accessible only once the page content has been viewed, but I have an additional "next" button at the bottom of my Flow page. How do I also make this only accessible once the learner has viewed all of the page content (including flip cards, tabs, etc.)? Thank you!

End page in Flow

I have an exit button at the end of the page also close button on the left corner of the page.  I want the exit button to behave the same way as the close button. Also I want them all displayed on the same page. instead of showing it on the next page.

Import PPT in Flow

Hi there,  I have nearly 220 hours of instructional content on Powerpoint (PPT) that needs conversion in to a SCORM package using DominKnow flow. I am aware that Claro supports PPT, but Flow doesn't.    Other than copying and pasting each slide and wasting hours, is there a workaround to achieve this? Any magic trick to accomplish this would highly be appreciated. Regards, MH

In reading the article Rounding Rollercoaster, please confirm if this javascript update can be made in Flow. In a course being developed, quiz scores show as decimals when less than 100%.  Some questions have more than 1 correct answer.

Swap buttons in Flow

How do I swap/toggle buttons in Flow when changing the state of a Capture sim? I'm wanting my buttons/content to do the same thing it does in the Authoring in DominKnow guide.
