Does dominKnow have any built-in capability to pull data from an LRS?

We're exploring more about xAPI and have questions...so many questions.

We have done the work, using dominKnow, to send data - out of the box and custom statements - to our LRS.  We know we're sending state data, but what we're not seeing is whether content built in dominKnow is also pulling data - such as bookmarking or already visited type of data we'd normally see in SCORM published courses.

Is that there and I'm not invoking it correctly?  Or do we have to custom code any pull of the data?

When publishing as xAPI dominKnow will pull "session" data. xAPI (more or less) used the same design as SCORM for session data which typically includes bookmarking information and anything the course wants remembered between sessions.  Like the SCORM session data, it isn't data that is typically directly accessed by users or reports.  

If your xAPI courses are enabling you to exit and return where you left off, that is the best "check" to confirm that data is being received by the course.  You can also display system variables like student ID and Name, which are sent from the LMS or LRS via AICC, SCORM, or xAPI. 

In terms of pulling "Other" data in, we do not currently have any out of the box features for receiving data like we do for sending data. You would need to create an HTML widget (something built outside of dominKnow) to query the LRS and receive data.  You CAN send data, like the student ID or course information into your widget via our content API and of course store any result information in variables in the course or trigger player actions too.

When non-scored questions are utilized within a DominKnow course, does it report the user's participation in answering these questions back to the LRS or LMS? If it does report, does it report the answer the user provided, or just that they answered the question? Is this a setting somewhere within the publishing profile?   Thank you!

Asking if the Review function takes place on the host platform with LMS and LRS capabilities or does Review spawn a local copy of Claro for each learner with no connection to the host LMS or LRS? Wondering if it is possible to have learners Review a project while learner data (xAPI) is gathered in the LRS.

Using Custom Variables in XAPI statement

Hi, I have a form on the first page of my course to capture learner data (name, email etc). I'd like the "Submit" button on the page to send the data as an XAPI statement to my LRS so I can record that the user has accessed the course. I would also love for the variables (First Name, Last Name) to replace the userID sent for the remainder of the interactions for the course. Is this possible, and if so, what are the parameters I need to set in the "send xAPI statement" element interaction for ...

Any way to do a flow chart in dominknow?

I have a series of pages each with a simple flow chart linking 2-3 blocks of content. Does anyone have any examples of a flow chart that would work in a responsive way or would it be best to use a custome CSS setup for this? This is a Flow project. thanks in advance Cameron Bowyer

Hi,  This might be a long shot, but I'm curious if DK has the ability to give my any data or feedback for a course.  Once I publish a scorm package and upload it to the LMS, is there any way of getting some analystics or data around when the learner stoped, jumped out of the course, number of correct or incorrect attempts of a specific question, time on a page etc? Any idea why the hamburger in the player would suddenly switch from left to right?

Hello all, I've been building courses all summer with the same player and theme variant.  Today I have one course that wants the player navigation menu to be on the right, while all the other courses are on the left.  I've been a Dominknow user for around 6 months so maybe I missed an option to pick what side this goes on or how to fix it.  Any ideas or insights would be appreciated! Thanks!

Built-in/System Variables & Element States

Is there any way to use the built in variables with Element States? I'm assuming not since they aren't available in the drop-down, but I thought I would ask :)   I want to customize the display of an image on the Module summary screen based on the performance of a Pre-test score, so would like to be able to access {{sys.currentModule.pretestscore}} .   Thanks!

Export Media Library Data to Spreadsheet

Is it possible to export Media Library information to a spreadsheet, and perhaps even manage the data this way (i.e. - apply tags to multiple elements at once)? (maybe there's a way to do it in dominknow without spreadsheet :))   Thanks!
