How do I make uploaded screenshots sharp and clear?

When I upload a screenshot and insert it into a project, it always ends up very blurry. I don't see this happening at all with any other image files I upload. Screenshots appear sharp and clear when their image files are opened on my computer, they just look blurry in dominKnow for some reason. This doesn't happen with other images, only screenshots. Does anyone have tips for getting sharp and clear screenshots in dominKnow?

There can be a number of reasons for blurry images, the main reason usually being the resolution/size of the image is huge and when uploaded ONE will resize it to a more web optimized size. Unfortunately in some cases the size was so much larger than default that our resize causes it to be blurry.

To get around this you can use Photoshop or your preferred image tool to resize to a size less than 1200px on the larges dimension.

Alternatively, if you need the hi resolution, you can open the Media Library Upload HD option. See the attached Show Me on using Upload HD

What are you using to take the screenshot? What is the resolution of the screenshot, ie is it full screen or an application window?

Have you tried using dominKnow Capture to Capture screens or software simulation?

Thanks Luke! It helps to know. I'm using Snip & Sketch on a PC for screenshots of application windows (the whole window or portions of it), but I'm never taking a shot of a full screen. I try to avoid using Capture because its functionality has been so inconsistent across multiple PCs now. I will only use it if absolutely necessary at this point.

I forgot to mention, many of the blurry screenshots have a larger dimension of less or far less than 1000 px. I did just try to the Upload High Res option and a screenshot with the largest dimension at 598 px immediately came out blurry in the Edit Asset pane before being inserted into the project. I'm using Flow, not Claro, so the functions to reset the size and positioning are different. I did try to lock a minimum size to match the largest dimension, and it does look a little better, but the image is showing up too large on the page.

Ah good point, blurry can also be an issue if the image asset is too small and scales up. Have you tried putting your images into a 2 or 3 columns layout? I think you should reach out to support as they might be able to help by seeing your assets or if you share the project.
