Importing Excel not working

Hello there!

I'm trying to import an Excel file in dominKnow and it doesn't work, it's throwing this error: https://imgur.com/a/wLznt99

Any idea what's causing that?

Just a little background; I had to replace some characters everywhere in my project and I noticed that the "Find and Replace" tool doesn't catch everything. So, I exported to Excel, changed everything in there and tried to import it back. This is when I got this error message in the link above.

I did put the updated text in correct column and that's the only thing that I've changed in Excel. Also, I tried importing using Chrome, Edge, Firefox... all of them are giving me the same error.

It sounds like you have done all the correct steps. The most typical issues are renaming the Excel, not putting content into the correct fields or removing fields that don't have content. Please submit a ticket to our support team with the name and ID of the project and a copy of your import file so they can take a look.

Thanks Paul!

Just a FYI, this is not the only project, I tried with 2 more and all three are giving me the same error.

I can try to clean the Excel file and leave the edited lines, but I have a lot of edits... I'll test with a few of them, see if it goes through this time, but otherwise, I'll open a ticket with support like you said.

FYI I did a quick test and the process was working for me. 


Also if you leave any of the "new text" fields blank it will skip those, so only the "changes" need to be populated.

I tried importing back the Excel file with only the lines that changed (about 30 lines across the whole file), leaving all the other lines empty, and I'm still getting the same error :(

I'll send an email to support.

Tooltip Not Working on Hover

Hi, I added a tooltip to the word "hover" in one of my projects. However, when previewing the project, the tooltip does not appear when I hover, instead if I click on the tooltip it will then appear. I have the tooltip inside a flip card. When I click on the word 'hover' the flip card flips and then shows the tooltip. This is not the action I was wanting.

Action not working

I have two columns on a page in Flow. In the left column is an image. In the right column is text. I want the image to display when the page loads. Then two seconds later, I want the text on the right to display. I have set up an action so that when the image shows, it will show the text two seconds later. But it isn't working. I am out of ideas for troubleshooting what I may have done wrong. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Hot Spot over .svg image not working as expected.

Hello I am trying to lay several hot spots over an .svg image but once inserted, the hotspot covers the entire graphic and apprears to be infinitely wide (you cannot reach the right border to resize it. The size controls which default to 80 x 80 do not have an effect. Could you confirm this for me or let me know if I need to use a differnt method to inser the hotspot. best regards

Non-Scored Question Reporting

When non-scored questions are utilized within a DominKnow course, does it report the user's participation in answering these questions back to the LRS or LMS? If it does report, does it report the answer the user provided, or just that they answered the question? Is this a setting somewhere within the publishing profile?   Thank you!

Tabs not working on light boxed page.

Hello I wanted to light box a page containing 2 tabsets, each with two tabs. The tabs work when the page is previewed on it own but fail to work the page appears in a light box. Is this to be expected? Is that a limitation of the lightbox? The FX animations are ignored and  while each tab highlights, the content for the second tab never appears. best regards Cameron

I see under Imports the option to import test questions from Excel, but it is greyed out. How do I activate/allow this in a flow course?

How to include audio when importing Powerpoint

I wish to import a PowerPoint with audio into Dominknow; the PP comes across OK but, the audio does not. There is only an image (that looks like an audio file) that gets imported where the PP audio object is located.    I can get around this by saving each PP audio and then inserting each one as an audio file, but this seems inefficient.   Any help appreciated.

Resize window load doesn't seems to be working

Hi There,    New in Claro, still figuring out some cool features.    I am trying to publish my first eLearning course and I noticed that the content display is locked in both preview and publishing mode. It doesn't change or resize the content display when I resize the window or view it on the full screen.
