Is there a way to show text elements when an assessment question has been submitted as incorrect?

I want to show the incorrect answer that is an image in a text box below the assessment question.after the learner selects the submit button.

Definitely. When you are on a question page you have additional triggers based on if the item is correct, incorrect, last attempt, etc.
Just add the content you want to show onto your page where you want it. Then under the ribbon tool bar (turn on if off), Select interact Tab -> Triggers and under the triggers you will see a section "Current Question" (near the bottom of the list) with several choices - pick the one most appropriate and then follow the steps - with the last steps of selecting the text and or images etc. you want to show based on that case.
In essence this enables you to show any type of custom feedback you want based on any type of answer correct/attempt/incorrect situation.
