Question page inside Story view

Hi, I have a question page inside a story view theme and the submit button for the question page seems to float at the button of the screen (to where the bottom of the page view is) but as I scroll a little more, the submit button floats below the NEXT button bar for the story view. Is there a way I can "fix" the submit button to the question page so that it will always be above the NEXT button bar for the story view player?

Hi Julie,

Sounds like you are using a practice question. With a practice question, if you turn on the options (under question tab) select the disable Next. That will remove the next button from this page and then the user will need to answer the question. Depending on the other settings you have, the user will see the "next" button generated from the question itself that will take it to the next page. 

Alternatively, you can click on the disable submit button and then add in your own submit button with actions. This button will stay within the page above the next button in Storyview.

We are preparing to use the story view template for our tutorials. Is there a certain time length you recommend we don't exceed with these? The chapters and sections on the side make it easy to separate information out, but curious if there is a limit for how much we put in there.

Story View Theme - Resources

Is there a way to add the list of Resources into the Story View Theme's menu similar to the other Themes. When editing the theme player, I do not see it as an option.   If not, is there a way to add a link to the Resources to show the auto-generated list of resources?

Help modifying the Story View theme

Hi! I would like to add color the background of each page title (the one that seems to be a part of the player and uses module name/page name when previewing) and also I need to modify the continue dividers to a different color. Can you tell me what theme settings control these? I have tried a few options but just cant seem to find the right settings.  Thanks

Can I block clicking left panel in story view theme?

We are creating a course with a story view theme. As you know, clicking the menu icon brings up the left panel. We have found that we can complete the course by clicking on the learning object in the left panel even without reading the whole content. We want to prevent the learner from completing the course by just clicking the left panel without reading the entire content.  Is there any way to prevent the learner from clikcing the left panel?

Story View Theme - Default View with Menu Closed?

I'm using the Story View theme and I'm wondering if there is a way to make it default to the menu/sidebar being closed. I didn't see anything in the Theme Editor on the Player page for it, unless I'm missing something?

Case Study Scoring

I'm creating a module with no posttest, however, I have a case study with 3 inline quiz questions from the Engage tab. (1) Can I use the inline question variable option to assign the score for each inline question? (2) Can I have  the score for each inline case study question display on an end of module screen?  If so, how do I set the inline question variable score and show the learners results on the end of module summary screen.

How do yow prevent an inline question from submitting when the learner doesn't select an answer?

I am using inline questions in my module (in Flow). Learners get one chance to answer the question. However, if they hit submit without having selected an answer, they are not able to go back and select an answer. Is there a way to prevent the inline question from submitting when the learner does not select an answer?   Thank you

Why is content appearing in the menu (Story View theme) if it has been invalidated via the Invalidate Module action?

We have created a course with two modules. When the learner clicks the button to jump to the second branch, the system adds checkmarks to the pages in the other learning object to indicate the learner doesn't need to review it. However, when the learner clicks the button to jump to the first branch, the system doesn't do this. I'm assuming the Story View theme is set up to only add checkmarks to content prior to the location of the Jump To. If this is the case, how do we hide the content in t...

Leaving a page at completed state

How do I get a page to remain in the completed state (i.e. inline question answered, tab viewed action complete, audio played) if I navigate back to it for a second time. I have an inline question in a module that I would like to remain complete if a learner navigates back to that page after having completed the question correctly. I also have narration that plays that I would like to not play if navigated back. Is this possible?
