Tile Cards purpose?

What is the purpose of the Tile Cards interactive component? I've searched the available resources, and I can't figure out what it's for. Is it just for navigation purposes, like "Click the icon to continue", or is it meant to display content that's initially hidden when the user clicks the icon? And if so, how does that work?

If it's only for navigation, I think it's a little confusing to have it grouped with content-based interactive elements like Tabs and Accordions.

The Tile Cards are essentially a button option. Like our Standard buttons, they don't have a built-in single purpose - you can add any actions to them, such as to show/hide other content on the same page, or to jump the learner to a different page altogether.

They're a visual alternative to the standard buttons. Tile Cards can have a background image added, for example, which creates a nice effect.

You can also assign a variable to a Tile Card and it can then display an icon to show the user that they've already clicked on it, which is a good option if you are using a set of Tile Cards on a page as a menu (or home page) for moving the learner to and from different sections of content.

Here's a link to a Tile Cards demo example our team prepared. You can see the image backgrounds and some of the nimation effects when you roll over the different Tile Cards. Each Tile Card has been set up with a different Action.

Hope this helps!
