Adding Elements to a Responsive (Flow) Page

Several Context-based Workflows Offer Different Options for Adding New Elements

There are several workflows available for adding a new Element to a responsive (Flow) page.

These workflows depend on how you begin to add the Element.

Adding an Element in a New Section

When you select the + Add a Section button, any of the elements available on the Add to Your Page panel will be added to the Page in a new Group in a New Row in a new Section.

The same applies to the Add a Section panel at the bottom of the Page. Selecting any of the Element options on that panel such as H2 Heading Text or Image adds the Element to the Page in a new Group, in a new Row, in a new Section.

Once the new Section is added to the Page you can use the Add a Row feature to add more content to the Same section.

Adding an Element When Nothing is Selected on the Page

If you have nothing selected on the Page:

On the Insert or Engage tabs, select the Element you want to add (1)
Select where you want to add it (2) based on the available places where the element can be added.

In this example a Tabset has been selected.

There is an empty placeholder where it can go, so the Placeholder is highlighted in orange. To add the Tabset to the Placeholder, just select the Placeholder.

Also, the grey area at the bottom of the Page allows you to add the Tabset into a new Section with either one, two or three Groups in it. To add the Tabset there, select the Group where you want it added:

the only Group in the one-Group Section
the left- or right-side Group in the two-group section
or the left-side, middle or right-side Group in the three-Group section

Adding an Element to a Placeholder

When a Placeholder is selected on the Page, selecting an Element automatically adds the Element to the Placeholder.

If you want to add an element in a Placeholder, you can:

Select the Placeholder (1)
Select the element you want to add (2)

The element will be automatically added to the Placeholder

You can also add Rich Text, Image or Video Elements directly to a Placeholder using the icons in the Placeholder.

Selecting the + icon opens the Set your Placeholder panel. Selecting an Element from here adds it directly to the Placeholder.

Adding an Element into an Existing Group

When you have any Element other than a Placeholder selected, you'll see two additional options where you can add a new Element.

Orange target boxes will be shown above and below the selected Element. Choosing either of these will add the Element into the same Group as the selected Element.

To add a new Element into the same Group as an existing element:

Select the existing Element on the Page (1)
Select the element you want to add (2)
Select the target box above or below the selected element (3) to add the new Element
