A simple way to declutter your page

When you add a layout to a page, or add a page from layouts, you'll notice that there are placeholders where you can add your content.

Should you decide not to place content in a placeholder, you can always hide it from view as you author.

Note: Empty Placeholders are shown as having a height when authoring. When published or viewed in a preview the placeholders have no height and will take up no vertical space on the page.

Hiding a Placeholder element

To hide a placeholder, click the Hide (eye) icon in the upper-right corner of the placeholder.

On the Page Structure, hidden placeholders are indicated with a circle-triangle icon.

Restoring all hidden Placeholders on a Page

To show all hidden placeholders on a page:

  • Select the View (1) tab.
  • From the Workspace section, select Restore Placeholders (2).

All hidden placeholders will become unhidden.
