How to make a Variant of a Theme

Themes determine the overall appearance of certain elements of your project, namely the navigation bars, default page content, and end screens. You can choose from one of our system themes, or create themes of your own using the Theme Designer.

The theme determines the functionality and design of your project. Only administrators have permission to create new themes. If you need to create a new theme, but do not have permission to do so, contact your administrator. Alternatively, if the changes you require are purely design related, you can create a new variant of an existing theme. Administrators and authors can create a Variant of an existing Theme.

The Variant allows for changing the look and feel or branding aspects of the Theme. A Variant does not allow for changes to the functional aspects of the theme, such as what is displayed on the navigation bars or the options available under the menu.
