Navigating the Splash Page 746

Easily start a new Project, edit an existing Project, receive updates from the dominKnow team and more

Each time you log into your site you are presented with the Splash Page.

You can also access the Splash Page at any time by selecting the Home icon  in the upper-left corner of the authoring interface.

In the upper right of the Splash page are three options:

Community – opens the dominKnow Community site in a new browser tab. The Community has hundreds of articles, lessons and more about working in dominKnow | ONE
Get Support – opens the in-tool support submission form
Getting Started – opens the Getting Started article in our Community site, which has resources such as our training guides and more to help you begin to work in dominKnow | ONE

The main area of the Splash Page is divided into four columns:

Stay in Touch

Welcome Back

Select Edit my profile to make changes to your user profile such as adding an image to replace your initials, or setting your notification preferences.

Online Users
This area shows the avatars of other users currently logged into your dominKnow | ONE site.

Selecting an avatar opens the information panel for the user.

What People are Working On

This section displays eight of the most recently created or edited projects. What you see will depend on your role:

If you are an Administrator you will see the eight most recent projects no matter who was authoring.
If you are an Author you will only see projects which you have created or to which you have been assigned.

To the left of each project is an icon. The icon displays an abbreviation of the project type:

Ac - Activity
As - Assessment
C - Course
Cm - Comic
Ga - Game
Ig - Infographic
JA - Job Aid
KB - Knowledge Base
PB - Pin Board
PG - Product Guide
Pr - Presentation
PT - Product Tour
Sc - Scenario
Si - Simulation
SP - Support Portal
SV - Story View
Ti - Timeline
Vi - Video

On these icons you may see a status dot. The color of the dot indicates the status of the Project:

Orange - In Review
Red - Review period has ended.
b Future review date set.
Black - Locked

To the right of the project title you may see an orange circle with a number. This indicates that the project has unresolved reviewer notes (pending resolution). The number indicates how many notes are still pending resolution.

Further to the right is a star. You can select the star to indicate that the project is one of your favorites so you can more quickly identify it in the future. Once a star is selected it will change from grey to blue.

You can select a project on this list to open it for editing.

Selecting Browse Projects opens the Project Browser, with access to all projects you have permission to see.

Selecting New Project opens the New Project workflow which has a number of options for creating a new project.

What's New

This section is where you will find release notes for new features and changes and other communications from the dominKnow team.

Stay in Touch

This section has a link to the dominKnow Community site, which has hundreds of articles, lessons and more about working in dominKnow | ONE.

It also has a direct link to the Community article for our weekly author Meetups. These are drop-in sessions where you can ask questions, get help or just listen to what authors from other client teams are doing as a great way to get inspiration.
