* Project and Module Introductions were introduced in our 7.4.4.7 and 7.4.5.1 releases.
Easily provide learners with important information at the start of a Project or each Module
You can set up custom Project and Module Introduction pages for a Project.
These Introductions allow you to provide critical or important information to your learners right at the start of the Project or the start of every module.
These Introduction pages are available in our Master Pages options.
They are not shown in the Project Outline.
They are shown to learners in a Lightbox over the main Project interface as soon as they start the Project or a Module.
Accessing the Project and Module Introductions
The Introductions are Master Page options available for a Project.
On the Project tab (1) on the panel to the left of the authoring stage, select Masters (2).
You can see the Introductions listed below the Endscreens.
By default, Projects do not have a Project or Module Introduction set. The learner will only see a Project or Module introduction if you have added one.
To add a custom Introduction, select either the Project or Module Introduction in the list (3).
You can create an Introduction from a blank page, or copy one from an existing Project or Baseline.
When copying from another Project you can choose to duplicate the Introduction or share it across all Projects using it and keep it synchronized for updates and changes.
NOTE: There is only one Module Introduction, and it will be shown at the start of all Modules.
How the Learner Experiences Project and Module Introductions
The Project and Module Introductions are shown to learners in a Lightbox over the main Project interface as soon as they start the Project or a Module.
The learner will close the Lightbox using the X in the upper right corner to then see the content.
For Projects using a Theme that has a home page such as Storyview, Knowledge Base and Tutorial themes, the Project Introduction will be shown as soon as the project opens.
The Module Introduction will be shown when the learner leaves the home page and enters the first page of a Module.
Removing an Introduction Page
To remove a custom Introduction:
- Select the Introduction (1)
- Select the three-dot menu (2)
- Select Delete (3)
You'll be shown a prompt to confirm that you want to delete the Introduction master page.
