You can add the following elements within an Image: Label, Marker, Hotspot, Image, Stock Images, Character, Speech Bubble, Thought Bubble, Clipart, Icons, and shapes.

NOTE: If you have an action with an on-click trigger set on an element layered over an image (for example, a hotspot) plus an action with an on-click trigger set on the image element as a whole, both actions will be fired when the learner clicks on the layered element.

Steps to add an oversized high res image to a page.

By default when you upload an image, if the width or height is greater than 1200 it will be resized to 1200px in the largest dimension as part of the upload.
We do this to help ensure that learners aren’t faced with slow download times for images that are much larger than their display size in the content you make.

But sometimes you will have a use case for an image that’s larger than 1200px, so there’s a special upload process for that.

Steps to insert an Image within a Text Element.

The text will wrap around the image, much like adding an image within a Word document.

Steps to add a label to an Image Element.

The label is added as a layer within the image element.

If you move the element on the page, the label will move as well and remain in its location above the image.

Steps to add a Label to an image.

Instead of adding text within an image file you can add Labels when authoring. This is great for identifying or naming parts of a diagram, for example.

If you move the image on a Claro page or if it moves or resizes in a Flow page the labels will stay in position in relation to the image.

I am trying to lay several hot spots over an .svg image but once inserted, the hotspot covers the entire graphic and apprears to be infinitely wide (you cannot reach the right border to resize it. The size controls which default to 80 x 80 do not have an effect.
Could you confirm this for me or let me know if I need to use a differnt method to inser the hotspot.
