A step by step on how to use Google Translate with dominKnow | ONE
Export Translation from dominKnow ONE
00:00 Select Translate
From the Home ribbon selecting translate will enable you to export or import your desired translation(s) into your existing project.

00:08 Select the Languages selection box
00:12 Type: french and press Enter
Type in the language for which you wish to translate the project.
Type in the language for which you wish to translate the project.
00:16 Select French - France : Francais - France (fr-FR)
Select the desired language from the search results.
00:20 Click on Export
You can search for additional languages if you wish to create multiple translation exports. For Google Translate, leave the file format set to Excel. In many cases you can turn off the Page Preview Links and Authoring Metadata, as they are typically not needed in an automatic translation.
00:24 The selected language(s) will download.
If you selected multiple languages you will need to unzip the package before uploading the files for translation.
Translate with Google Translate
00:00 Navigate to https://translate.google.com
Once you are at the main Google Translate Interface you can begin the next steps in your translation.

00:08 On the left side (source language) select page tab: English
Although Detect Language will likely work in all cases, you can select the source language to be sure.
00:12 On the right side (target language) press the down arrow button: More target languages
If the desired language isn't available on the quick selection list, selecting the drop down will provide access to all available languages.
00:16 Type: french and press Enter

Note: Google Translate does NOT support document translate for all languages. If you select a language and later the translate button is greyed out, look for a notice that the selected language is not supported for document translate.

Alternatively you can drag and drop the translation file onto the Drag and drop cloud icon.

Access the location where your dominKnow | ONE translation files have been downloaded and / or unzipped and select the file to be translated.

Note: Google Translate does NOT support document translate for all languages. If you select a language and the translate button is greyed out, look for a notice that the selected language is not supported.
00:40 Press button: Download translation
This will provide you a new file and your operating system will give it a similar but different name than the original file name.
Copy and Pasting the Translation into the Correct Format
00:00 Select F3 in the translated text in column F.
Google translate will translate all text in the Excel that was uploaded. It will automatically ignore any HTML tags. For your translation you will need to copy the primary column.
00:04 Click plus Shift on F447 to select all transalated rows.
In this case the last row is 447. Do not selected past this row
00:08 Select Ctrl + c
This will copy all the selected items.
00:12 Click on G3 in the original exported translation file.
You are selecting the first row in the column where the translations belong for proper import into dominKnow | ONE. In some cases this may not be G3, so double check.
00:16 Press Ctrl + v
This will paste all the translated text into the correct column in the original translation export file.
00:20 On the left, in the Excel translated from Google Translate, select page tab: Links
In some of your projects you will have additional sheets in your Excel file for special types of content. This includes such items as Links, Variables, Glossary Terms, and References. You will need to repeat these same steps for any additional tabs.
00:24 On the right, in the originally Excel exported from dominKnow | ONE, select page tab: Links
00:28 Click on C3 on the left Excel.
You are selecting the first element that has been translated.
00:32 Click on C4 with modifiers: Shift
Select all the text that has been translated. The step is similar to step you completed on the first tab.
00:36 Press Ctrl + c
To copy all elements that are selected.
00:40 Select D3
Select the first column and row in the translated text column into which you will paste the content.
00:44 Press Ctrl + v
This will paste the translated content into the import file.
00:48 Press button: Save
Import Translation into dominKnow | ONE
00:00 Click on Translate in the Home Ribbon
00:04 Click on Import Translation File(s)
00:08 Click on Browse

If you have translated your project into multiple languages, first select all the translated files and then zip the file and use the zipped file in this step.
00:16 Click on Open
00:20 Click on Done.
The updated project will open when done.
00:24 Click on Preview -> Compare
This will open a full project preview with a side by side preview.
00:28 In the preview on the left, click on French - France
This will change the project view on the left to use the French translation.
00:32 Steps completed
While you don't need to use the Compare preview, it does provide a handy side by side view when you need to see a direct comparison between two languages.
