Step 1


Select the element on the page.

Select the Actions (lightning bolt) icon.

Select Link to a Website.

Step 4


The Link to URL panel will open to the right of the stage. 

Select the Title field to add a Title to be shown in the Resources list under the navigation bar menu. 

When authoring in ONE you will type the text into the field. For the purposes of this lesson the text will be added.

Select the Description field to add a Description to be shown in the Resources list under the navigation bar menu.

When authoring in ONE you will type the text into the field. For the purposes of this lesson the text will be added.


Step 6


On the Protocol dropdown you can choose from:

  • https://
  • http://
  • ftp://
  • mailto:
  • Custom


On the Target dropdown you can choose:

  • Popup Window - opens the target link in a new browser window
  • Modal - opens the target link in a modal window over the content page. Note: Some websites will not allow embedding in other website pages and may not work as a Modal window.
  • New Browser Window - opens the target link in a new browser tab
     

Select the Address field

The address should not include the protocol, eg, https://

When authoring in ONE you will type the text into the field. For the purposes of this lesson the text will be added.

 


Step 7


Select the checkbox for Address is a website to include a preview of the website in the project resources.

Step 8


If you select Exclude from Resources, the link URL will not be included in the Resources under the menu on the Navigation bar.

You can Preview the link to confirm it is correct.

Select Update.


Step 9


The Link to a URL panel will close.

You'll see that the Actions icon has an indicator showing the action has been set.

Use a Full Project Preview to confirm that the link works on the page and to check how it is displayed in the Resources list.
