Step 1

For this lesson we'll add the HTML Widget Element to the empty placeholder that is selected on the Page (shown bound in purple).

Select the Engage tab (only available with the Ribbon toggled on).

Select Widget.

Step 3

 ¶ 


The Media Library will open. You can search for a previously-uploaded HTML Widget or upload a new one.

Select Upload HTML WIdget.

Step 4

 ¶ 


Navigate to the folder where the compressed or zipped file is being stored. In this example we've previously compressed the HTML Widget parts into a file called Archive.zip.

Select Archive.zip.

Step 5

Select Open. (This step may be different on Windows computers.) 

Step 6

 ¶ 


The zip file will be uploaded to the dominKnow | ONE site and the Widget Settings panel will open.

Give the widget a valuable name, description and keyword tags.

On the default file make sure that the correct launcher file is selected.

Set or confirm the Width, Height, Border and Scrolling settings.

Select Done.


Step 7

 ¶ 


The widget will be shown on the media library panel.

Select the HTML Widget. 

 

Step 8

 ¶ 


The HTML widget will be shown on the preview panel on the right side of the Media Library panel.

Select Insert.

Step 9

 ¶ 


The HTML WIdget Element will be inserted into the placeholder on the page.

Adding a Link to File action to an element

There are a lot of use cases for providing documents or files for learners to download or open as part of a learning experience.

One way to do this is to add a Link to File action to an element, which will open the file when a learner clicks on the element.

You can link to any file from the Media Library, including documents, PDF files and media like image, audio or video files.

Many themes have a Resources button under the Menu options.

Adding a Video Playlist widget to your page

The Video Playlist widgets make it easy to add a collection of Vimeo or YouTube videos to any page.

Check out the drag and drop option for adding more videos, it's a great time saver.

When added to a Flow page, the Playlist is responsive. On wider screens the list of videos will display on the right side of the main video panel. On narrower screens the list of videos will be shown under the main video panel.

NOTE: You can't mix YouTube and Vimeo videos in the same Playlist.

Steps to add an Audio Narration file to a Page.

This automatically sets the audio file as Narration, in Autoplay mode and with Full Controls.

For Claro projects, it also switches the Timeline below the Stage to synchronize to the audio narration file rather than the default page timing.

You can have mulitple audio files on a Page but only one can be set as Narration.
