Setting a Page Link Action

There are a lot of use cases for providing documents or files for learners to download or open as part of a learning experience.

One way to do this is to add a Link to File action to an element, which will open the file when a learner clicks on the element.

You can link to any file from the Media Library, including documents, PDF files and media like image, audio or video files.

Steps to edit the settings for an action using the Actions tab.

As you add Actions to a Page, they are listed on the Actions tab on the left side of the Stage.

You can use this tab to open Actions to edit them.

This tab is also helpful for understanding all the Actions or events on a Page, especially if you aren't the original author but are trying to make updates.

Make it easy for learners to send an email if they have questions or need more information

Good morning!
I am having trouble modifying any "link to URL" actions (navigation and branching). They seem to disappear when I go in to view them under the "actions" tab in the sidebar. I'm also finding that the link that I indicate in the action settings doesn't work all of the time. I would prefer the links to be "modal" but they don't always work this way, and I have to get it to open in a new window (which isn't ideal for my purposes).
Any suggestions are appreciated!
