- Export Translation from dominKnow ONE 7 steps
- Translate Excel Content 24 steps
- Import Translation into dominKnow | ONE 9 steps
In this first step you will select the Export for Translation option for all the desired languages. This will create your translation file(s) to which you will add your translation(s) and then import back into the project to create a single project that contains multiple translations.

Step 1
From the Home ribbon selecting translate will enable you to export or import your desired translation(s) into your existing project.

Step 4
Type in the language for which you wish to translate the project.

Step 5
Select the desired language from the search results.

Step 6
You can search for additional languages if you wish to create multiple translation exports. For Google Translate, leave the file format set to Excel. In many cases you can turn off the Page Preview Links and Authoring Metadata, as they are typically not needed in an automatic translation.

Step 7
If you selected multiple languages you will need to unzip the package before uploading the files for translation.
Once the translation files have been downloaded you can then access your translation service to create translate the content.
In the next steps you will utilize the plugin Translator for Excel: Sheets Translator. You will use this translator to translate the text in your export and then copy and paste the translations into the correct column.
This scene starts with the file you downloaded in the previous step open in Excel.

Step 1
This will launch the Sheets Translator application in the right panel.

Step 2
You can keep the Auto Detect, but if you want to be sure, switch to the base language.

Step 5
All the target languages are written in the target language. In this example we are looking for German, but spelled Deutsch.

Step 10
This will provide a translated column you can copy from and then simply remove.

Step 23
In most exports there will be additional Excel sheets for other elements such as pop ups, variables, and glossaries. Repeat these same steps for the remaining elements which will require translation.
Now that the translation file is ready, you can import it into dominKnow | ONE.
In this step you will import the translated file(s) into dominKnow | ONE and can then begin your review.

Step 4
If you have translated your project into multiple languages, first select all the translated files and then zip the file and use the zipped file in this step.

Step 7
This will open a full project preview with a side by side preview.

Step 8
This will change the project view on the left to use the French translation.

Step 9
While you don't need to use the Compare preview, it does provide a handy side by side view when you need to see a direct comparison between two languages.
With these simple steps you can begin to take advantage of machine and gen ai translation services to augment your multi-lingual process. Happy translating!
