Steps to synchronize Show events to an audio narration file using the Timeline.

1In order to use the Timeline to synchronize events to an audio file the file must be set as Narration. To confirm this, select the audio file on the stage.
Click the continue button:

2Select the Options tab.
Click the continue button:

3On the Options tab you can see the Set as Narration button has been selected. Select the Timeline tab below the Stage.
Click the continue button:

4Select the blue bar beside the first image.
Click the continue button:

5The bar turns dark blue. It also now shows handles at both ends as well as a pencil icon at the left end. Select the handle at the left end and drag it to the 1-second mark.
Click the continue button:

6This sets the image to appear at 1.0 seconds, based on the audio file.
Click the continue button:

7Select the pencil icon.
Click the continue button:

8Select the Entrance Effect drop down list.
Click the continue button:

9Select Slide.
Click the continue button:

10Select the Up icon to set the direction of the Slide entrance effect. Leave the Duration set at 0.5 - this is how long the Slide effect will take to complete.
Click the continue button:

11Select Apply.
Click the continue button:

12Select the blue bar beside the second image.
Click the continue button:

13Select the handle at the left end and drag it to the 2-second mark.
Click the continue button:

14This sets the image to appear at 2.0 seconds, based on the audio file.
Click the continue button:

15Select the pencil icon.
Click the continue button:

16Select the Entrance Effect drop down list.
Click the continue button:

17Select Slide.
Click the continue button:

18Select the Up icon to set the direction of the Slide entrance effect. Leave the Duration set at 0.5.
Click the continue button:

19Select Apply.
Click the continue button:

20Select the blue bar beside the third image.
Click the continue button:

21Select the handle at the left end and drag it to the 3-second mark.
Click the continue button:

22This sets the image to appear at 3.0 seconds, based on the audio file.
Click the continue button:

23Select the pencil icon.
Click the continue button:

24Select the Entrance Effect drop down list.
Click the continue button:

25Select Slide.
Click the continue button:

26Select the Up icon to set the direction of the Slide entrance effect. Leave the Duration set at 0.5.
Click the continue button:

27Select Apply.
Click the continue button:

28You can check your settings by using the Play button on theTimeline panel or by doing a Current Page Preview.
