Classic Blue #0f4c81

Every year about this time the ordained keepers of the colors, Pantone, declare the next year's Color of the Year. Well the anticipation had been killing us and the wait is over. The Color of the year for 2020 will be Classic Blue. 

Okay... so now what?

I always have that same thought. Picking a color for a project is one thing. But understanding how to use it appropriately and what other colors can be used with it, and in what ways, is the real hard part. I use a site called coolors.co to generate matching color palettes. Just navigate to the link and enter Classic Blue.

You'll notice that the hex code #0f4c81 is also referred to as Dark Cerulean.
