Business and Enterprise level subscriptions have three types of users: admins, authors and reviewers. Reviewers only have review permissions for projects they are assigned. Both authors and admins have authoring capabilities, but admins have much more control than the standard author. The table below outlines the different capabilities of these two positions.

Keep in mind that the author's permissions may differ from what is reflected in this table if an admin has assigned them a specific Author Role other than the default. Items marked with an asterics (*) can be controlled via author roles.

You can learn more about author roles by visiting our user guide article: Author Roles.

      Hey Brent,
Projects are set as baselines via the project properties, but the option only appears for administrators. So, no, authors cannot set a project as a baseline.
Thank you for your question. I will update the article to clarify this detail.
