Publishing your Project as a Convey Dynamic Publishing Web Link publishes a website/portal package of your project and sends it to the Convey site.
Convey then instantly creates a URL for the project that you can share.
This Convey dynamic publishing option is perfect for sharing content that doesn’t need to be tracked by an LMS, an LRS or an LXP.
It can be a helpful way to share demonstration content to stakeholders or publish a job aid or similar time-of-need learning content if you don’t need to track data beyond the usage data collected in dominKnow | ONE’s built-in Analytics for Convey Dynamic Publishes
Report (such as unique users, new registrations, and total views).
This Convey publishing option uses the Project's default Theme and Publishing Profile.
This Convey option eliminates the need to involve your IT team to set up and host this type of content.
When you need to make content updates, you simply re-publish the package to the Convey site. Your learners will see the updated version of the content immediately.
Need tracking to an LRS?
If you want to track xAPI statements from a web package hosted on Convey, (for example to know what learners are searching for in a searchable knowledge base project):
1. Choose the Convey Dynamic Publishing for LMS/LRS/LXP option
2. Choose Web as the standard (instead of SCORM, etc.)
3. Set up the xAPI target, etc. in the XAPI Data section of the publishing page.
This publishing option also lets you choose a different Theme and Publishing Profile as part of that publishing process, and even publish multiple versions of the web package.
You can republish the package at any time using the Share Again option.
To share the Convey link URL, select View Links.
The Publish card will open.
If the Project uses Publish Targets, the card will show separate links for each Publish Target.
Use the Copy Link option to copy the package's Convey URL to your clipboard.
Select Close when you are finished.
