If you're looking to have the learner select specific areas of an image to show some text info, there are a couple of options.

When you have an image element selected, one of the purple menu icons is a + sign. This allows you to add certain types of elements over top of the image element, so they are self-contained within/as part of the main image element.

This article outlines how to do this:

Adding Markers, Hotspots and more as layers on Image Elements >> https://dki.io/c22c15b3

When you add a Marker an icon is placed over the image and when the learner clicks on it, it can show a tooltip type text panel.

If you don't want the learner to "see" the areas to click on and have more of an exploration activity, you can add Hotspot and Label elements then set up the hotspots with an action to show the respective label.

Some additional thoughts:

  • Using a Toggle action instead of a Show would allow the learner to click again to hide the Labels
  • Instead of Labels you could use Speech Bubbles for a different visual design
