Target different audiences from a single content Project

You can set Publish Targets for Pages, Test Question Pages, Learning Objects and Modules in any Project.

When you publish you can choose which Publish Targets should be included, allowing you to target multiple learning audiences or contexts from a single Project.

The process is essentially the same for adding Publish Targets to Pages, Test Question Pages, Learning Objects or Modules.

Here are the steps for adding a Publish Target to a Page.

NOTE: These steps assume you have already set up Publish Targets in your site. Here's an article that walks through that process:

Setting Up and Managing Publish Targets >>

The Publish Tags are set on the Page Properties panel.

To access the Page Properties panel:

  • Select the Page on the Project Outline (1)
  • Select the three-dot menu (2)
  • Select Page Properties (3)

The Page Properties panel will open to the right of the Stage.

To add a Publish Target to the Page, select Add Targets (4).

The Select Publish Targets panel will open over the interface.

Select an available Publish Target from the Audiences list such as Manager (5) then select Ok (6).

You can select more than one Publish Target, if needed.

The Select Publish Targets panel will close.

The Page Properties panel will now list the selected Publish Targets.

Select Update (7) to save the changes.

In the Project Outline, the Page will now show a Target icon, indicating that one or more Publish Targets have been applied to it.

Editing Publish Targets Applied to a Page

To remove or add Publish Targets to the Page, open the Page Properties panel once more.

You can quickly remove any applied Publish Targets using the X beside the listed target.

You can select Add Targets to add more targets to the page.
